A University of West Florida undergraduate team won the second annual quiz bowl challenge at the 2025 Southeastern Psychological Association Annual Meeting, held on April 11 in Atlanta. This is the second consecutive year that a 麻豆区student team has won the competition. 麻豆区psychology majors Katie Blake, Landon Nelson, Lamb Ngafeeson, Elizabeth Black and Clark Tipton competed against teams from colleges and universities throughout the Southeast.

Two University of West Florida student teams placed top two in the 2025 International Society for Performance Improvement, or ISPI, Case Study Student Competition held on April 13-17, in Jacksonville, Florida. The winning team included Doctorate of Education, or Ed.D., students of UWF's Department of Instructional Design and Technology in the School of Education. The team was composed of faculty sponsor Dr. Holley Handley and students Shannon Biagi, Caroline Atwood Brode, Sara Golden and Traci Hudgin.

麻豆区 exceeded its fundraising goals during the seventh annual Day of Giving, raising more than $194,000 from 1,256 alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and friends of the University. The annual 24-hour, online, social media-driven fundraising initiative was held on April 17 during UWF鈥檚 Founders Week. This year鈥檚 Day of Giving marked more than $1 million raised from UWF鈥檚 Day of Giving events over the last seven years.
